Ingredients
For the Cake Base
- 1 box (15.25 oz) chocolate cake mix (plus ingredients listed on box: eggs, oil, water)
- OR homemade chocolate cake baked in 9×13 pan
For the Filling
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 1 jar (12 oz) caramel sauce or dulce de leche
- Alternative: Use chocolate syrup instead of caramel for chocolate version
For the Topping
- 1 container (8 oz) frozen whipped topping (Cool Whip), thawed
- OR 2 cups heavy whipping cream, whipped with ¼ cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup Heath toffee bits or Skor bits
- ½ cup mini chocolate chips or chocolate shavings
